back to the US

Time flew by so quickly! After a one day stopover in Hongkong, I'm back in the US. Asia was great! I'm now refreshed, rejuvenated, rested and got my health back through sevearl stuff I did and used....health is a wealth that cannot be stolen!

I don't know where the pics of the food and stuff mummy and I did at the ASI convention in Thailand went?! It must be stored in darl's computer.Well, the convention was really nice and we got to meet a lot of people...will definitely want to go for next year's one in KL!
Anyways, here are some pics I toook in HK---> .

This place serves pretty good dim sum. I like their veggie chee cheong fun best! It's freshly made and soft. Yum. It's located in the heart of Central...: Whole of 3/F, Regent Ctr, 88 Queen's Rd, Central, HK.

Another place that's really good is sweet dynasty. ( I didn't take pics as my camera ran out of battery then ) It has changed a lot since the last time I was there several years ago. The interior is posh, clean and oriental compared to the then-coffee house style.

Hui Lau Shan is my ultimate favorite place in Hongkong. The branch store in LA is not as authentic as HK. The house signature dish consists of fresh fruits, like watermelon, strawberries, cantaloupe, and mangoes!!, sliced and arranged over a base of sweet mango ice cream. The dish that you see above is the newest item - mango juice instead of ice cream. I love mangoes and Hui Lau San does an excellent job with this tasty fruit. :) (And one of the bakeries at the airport had mango mooncake that was delicious! Hmm. should my name be called Mango instead of Cherry? lol *wink*)

Singapore has changed a lot since the last time I went back. They're building a casino and world's largest carousel in the city.

I love you, papa, mummy, darl, noi baby girl, mama and popo!!!

*miss you* hugs*

new discovery: GOBI dessert shop, good for a once- in-a-long time treat! I like their miniature, exquisite desserts.

Belgium Chocolate / Sweet Stone Paradise store and Ah Balling peanut soup stores are located at Beach Road hawker center. I love the yam tang yuan in ginger soup and the crisp waffles/fruits dipped in dark Belgium chocolate, served by an Ang moh. ;p

I regret not posting up more pictures, recipes and eating-places during my time in Singapore. I did so much that it's a little overwhelming to post all f them out. However, all the memories will be firmly etched in my memory. Come to think of it, i wrote a reflections article, "As good as it gets" about memories and Hui Lau shan a few years back.
~~The small accumulated moments of our lives are the sum of our existence and being. For, more often than not, that moment of your life is as good as it will ever get. :) ~
":.....And I love mangoes too- mango ice- cream combo at Shui Liu Shan in Hong Kong is heavenly. I remember telling my dad that I will eat the mango combo the whole day and he reprimanded me. But it's true- I love it. Although I cannot taste it now, the memory of it is etched in mind. I can picture myself seated on the wooden stool, watching passer-bys hurrying along, and being clothed in warm clothes as I slowly savor mangoes, strawberries, melons, kiwi...that was The Moment. It was as good as it got."
